Yin yoga is a slow, meditative style of yoga where poses are held for several minutes at a time to target the deep connective tissues, like fascia, ligaments, and joints rather than muscles. It invites stillness, surrender, and introspection, helping to calm the nervous system and increase flexibility over time.
Rooted in principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Taoist concept of balance, Yin yoga complements more active, “yang” practices by restoring energetic harmony within the body.
