A tribute to Saturday Morning TV 1976 - 2001 | Put The Telly On Roughcuts

Описание: As the channel is 10 years old this year and possibly coming to an end later this year, I thought I'd take a look back through the files and folders and see what clips I have that I prepared to upload but never got round to, or rather decided that they were to crap to publish on YouTube. I'm calling this 'Put The Telly On Roughcuts', I can already see the excitement on your faces!! I did think of other names for this genre, 'Put The Telly On's Cutting Room Floor' etc but y'know.. who cares!

This channel has largely gained popularity over the years as being one of the first to reshow rare clips from Saturday morning television, notably from the BBC shows Going Live! and Live and Kicking, that will explain why this particular video is heavy on those shows and not much ITV output. When I uploaded the last VHS tape with footage from Live & Kicking, I decided it might be an idea to put all the clips together in a musical tribute montage... this proved a massive undertaking, late nights etc and I didn't really know what my aim was in the end. However, in the end I created this video    • Saturday Mornings at BBC Television Centre...   with another Take That number which I decided to coincide with the closure of TV Centre in 2013 but, here is one of the original drafts set to the music of Take That's 'When We Were Young' from the album 'Progressed' in 2011.. yeah you'll notice the sound is all over the place hence I never uploaded it and.. all this might get blocked, such is the strict policing of YouTube these days but for now, here it is. So, if these prove popular (more than two views!) I have a few more of these to follow probably without endboards. At Christmas, I whipped together an obituary video for those in telly who passed in 2016 but time kind of moved on and last year was so damn depressing anyway I decided not to upload but if anyone wants to see that, let me know! It's set to the music of Coldplay so not to everyone's taste regardless of the morbidity of it anyway!!
