Smiley's second single, but first video. (Cockney Translation was re-released after this was a hit). Directed by Giblets who were: Rob MacGillivray, Mike Sumpter, Carol MacGillivray and Michael Olley. This was our first pop video made as Giblets and was filmed in the basement of Saint Martins School of Art where we were at college. We shot on 16mm reversal film, so there was no negative - we edited the only copy with tape and telecined that! The promo got shown on Ch.4's 'The Tube' and was introduced by Jools Holland with some very nice remarks.
Smiley (David Emmanuel) was a talented man with genuine charm. Sadly missed.
