At its heart is Illiam, a young man from Morrows Way, and his ragtag companions. At his side walk Illica and Ruutia, bound by blood, choice, and quiet devotion. Together, they seek entry into Nights 12, led by Illgora, Ruutia’s father, and Tharren, heroes of the Unification War. Warriors whose names once stitched five kingdoms beneath a single banner.
Twenty years have passed since that unification. Peace, though spoken aloud, is thin and fraying. Rebellion stirs as Muutos Vapid rises in defiance, and the old wounds of the world begin to open once more.
Elsewhere, Issium, Sia, and Issudon travel toward the Elsinar Arena for the Great Mock Battle, where they will face Illgora’s forces and the vassals of Ji-Lin, Prince of Minostay. At his command stand Hera, Oii, and Ohchi, each bound to tide, steel, and faith.
This is a journey through myth and mortality. Through gods who shape the world with careless hands, and void-born beings that defy reason itself. Through ichor and flame, oath and betrayal. Witness the Edar Eons, celestial dragons who forged the stars and breathed form into the universe. Watch as Videll, the world itself, trembles on the brink.
