DCC and Operation Demo: Bachmann Spectrum HO Modern Baldwin 4-4-0 B&O 1401

Описание: Disclaimer: There's so much detail on this locomotive (especially on the undercarriage) that it will sometimes actually interfere with the operation of the locomotive. However, I believe this depends if you get a locomotive with everything in place or not. Models from Bachmann Trains (even the Spectrum Line) tend to be a hit or miss, meaning that it's a 50/50 chance you will either get a perfectly fine model or one with a few detail defects or even operational defects.

In my case, the sanding pipes were not installed correctly on my model and it would actually derail every time it encountered a switch. With a little realignment and some dabs of super glue, the issue was resolved and it hasn't been an issue since.

Despite these minor issues, this locomotive runs very well and is great for layouts that have small mixed-traffic use. I'm hoping to acquire some turn-of-the-century rolling stock in the near future for this locomotive.
