Hail to You, O Virgin:
The right and true Queen:
Hail to the pride of our race:
Who gave birth to Emmanuel.

We ask you, remember us:
O our trusted advocate:
before our Lord Jesus Christ:
that He may forgive us our sins.

Our mouths are filled with joy:
And our tongues with rejoicing:
for our Lord Jesus Christ:
has risen from the dead.

By His power He abolished death:
and made life to shine on us:
He, who also descended to:
the lowest parts of the earth.

The gatekeepers of Hades:
Saw Him and were afraid:
He destroyed the pangs of death:
and they could not take hold of Him.

He destroyed the gates of brass:
and cut down the iron bars:
and brought out His chosen ones:
in gladness and joy.

He lifted them up with Him:
into His place of rest:
He saved them for the sake of His name:
and revealed His power to them.

Wherefore we are rich:
in the perfect good things:
and in faith, we sing:
saying, "Alleluia."
