Leif Erickson, born William Wycliffe Anderson, was a talented American actor known for his memorable roles in film, television, and theater. With a career spanning over five decades, Erickson appeared in classics like The Snake Pit, Tea and Sympathy, and The High Chaparral, where he portrayed the iconic rancher Big John Cannon.
Beyond his acting career, Erickson served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, earning two Purple Hearts for his bravery as a military photographer in combat zones. He documented historical moments, including the Japanese surrender aboard the USS Missouri.
