Описание: Transfesa Logistics is a company that has been specialising for 80 years in logistics and innovative, sustainable, door-to-door transport.
In addition to all the businesses and sectors in which it operates, for more than 20 years it has been serving the logistics chains of the various automotive manufacturing plants in Spain, carrying both parts and finished vehicles and meeting the strict deadlines of their production chains.
Over the years, the company has set up several rail corridors as well as all the complementary services these requirements, such as terminal management, storage in automotive logistics centres, workshops and road haulage.
The Transfesa Logistics team found that this experience and these rail corridors presented an opportunity to start carrying refrigerated goods, which require the same sort of punctuality and timing as the production chains of automotive factories.
Euro Pool System had already launched Cool Rail, the first reefer freight for fruit and vegetables between Valencia in Spain and Rotterdam. Both they and Transfesa Logistics saw a great opportunity for combining forces to promote such transport, reaching many more points in Europe.
Today we carry fresh produce from Spain to France, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Poland, Denmark, Norway and Finland, in similar times to road transport, or even less in some cases such as the UK. All this is done under the umbrella of our main shareholder, DB Cargo, which enables us to monitor the whole process, from starting point to the destination.
