In this podcast, I chat with Early Years TV founder Kathy Brodie about how uncertainty impacts us as humans. In particular, how it influences our parenting or teaching with children. Adults tend to react poorly to challenges when they feel uncertain about what "to do."
This is because the brain is meant "to know." It's very stressful to not know especially when it comes to our children.
In this short video, I explain the brain reasons for this and offer a framework I've developed for how to skillfully navigate the challenges that uncertainty brings. In addition, I caution against a few common ways adult typically react to children when challenges arise. Check it out: you might be actually working harder, not smarter with your kids.
