The closing statements have been made to the jury in the case of Nikita Hand who is suing UFC star Conor McGregor and his friend James Lawrence claiming both raped her in the Beacon Hotel in Dublin in 2018.
Both deny the allegations and claim they had consensual sex with her. After an almost two-week trial counsel for the pair summed up their cases to the jury.
Clodagh Meaney was there to hear their closing statements. This is part one of today’s proceedings.
