Pilot rarely makes really bad pens and the Petit 1 is no exception. However, when it comes to "who was this pen made for", the message is a bit confusing. On one hand, it is definitely a beginner's pen but I would not say it is the best pen for beginners. On the other, it is sized as a pocket pen which works well but I feel there are better choices.
