The educational capsule consists of six short videos that provide an overview of the key sustainability issues in the fashion industry and how to address them.

Sustainability in fashion is a growing industry, both in terms of designers being conscious of the materials they use, as well as customers looking for eco-friendly options. As such, an understanding of how to design for sustainability is increasingly important. ‘Design For Sustainability’ explains how, by breaking down the key components into four simple tips: starting with a sustainable mindset; understanding processes and choosing materials that minimise waste; researching consumer's wants and needs when it comes to eco fashion; and finally, using innovative technologies to reduce environmental impact. The video, which features designer and sustainability advocate @NikkiReed and is part of a 6-part series, also provides more detailed information on each step helping viewers become experts on designing for sustainability.
