"Since we're both Dakota and grew up here in Minneapolis and the song is about the urban city on our homelands, I wanted to include elements from our culture to highlight we're still here, expressing ourselves with modernity. That Dakota culture isn't just found at powwows or reservations, it's everywhere on our homelands"
