A video of the group of men forcing the women to take photos with them and placing their hands on the victims’ shoulders had sparked widespread outrage, raising serious concerns over tourist safety in Goa. Following the viral clip, the Tourist Police filed a state complaint, leading to the registration of FIR No. 102/2025 at Mandrem Police Station under Sections 126(2) and 74 of the BNS 2023.

A massive manhunt was launched under the supervision of SP North Rahul Gupta, SDPO Salim Shaikh, and PI Girendra Naik, with a team of Mandrem Police — PSI Paresh Kale, PSI Abhishek Chodankar, PC Yogesh Shinde, PC Rohan Shiolkar, and PC Ganaraj Shetkar — tracing the accused to Mysuru, Karnataka, through advanced technical surveillance.

Police said the operation was kept confidential to prevent the suspects from fleeing.
SP Rahul Gupta confirmed that the trio has been apprehended and brought to Goa for further legal proceedings.

Goa Police reaffirmed their zero-tolerance policy toward crimes against women and tourists.
