Mohammad and Razieh quickly freed her and sat by her side, sharing tears and fear. Shehla explained that Hezbollah, her children’s uncle, along with a few others, had come looking for Mohammad. When he wasn’t there, they beat her and tied her to the tree.
After the frightening incident, Shehla spoke with the videographer and her children, sharing her grief for her leader who had been martyred during a U.S. attack and lamenting that no official help was available. Despite the fear and hardship, seeing her children’s support gave her new strength. Together, they gathered the scattered supplies, Razieh watered the trees, Shehla prepared food for the children, and later repaired the courtyard wall with cement.
