Описание: Have you heard of white wine made of red grapes? 🍇 Today's featured white wine is Morgado do Quintão, from the wine region of Algarve, subregion of Lagoa, made from the indigenous Negra Mole red grape variety, so-called the Queen of the Red Grapes in this region.

The Algarve in the southernmost part of Portugal is usually known as a summer destination, with its glorious coastline and beaches, but it should also be known as a wine region, producing great quality wines! This region is catching up, modernising and gaining strength both in quantity, and even more so in quality.

Morgado do Quintão is a heritage property located in Lagoa, championing winemaking in this region, and one of the farms that produces the most organic wines in the entire Algarve, specialising in the local varieties of Negra Mole and Crato Branco.

This Negra Mole grape is a truly versatile variety, producing light and simultaneously complex red wines, and also charming, citrusy white wines.

Specifically this white Negra Mole is sumptuous, a fantastic wine that's very elegant, crisp and citrusy, with surprising depth. A very gastronomic wine, perfect with seafood and grilled fish. It also embodies versatility, a wine that can be enjoyed by itself, all year round, to be shared, savoured, and make memories with. Preferably with a second bottle.
