I started in Latvia, around 40km from Riga, in a city called Jurmala. A quest to go to Sicily, Italy. But first step – Poland! Since I couldn't stop in Lithuania, I had to cross the whole country in a single ride and get to Poland. That means I had to start as close to the border of Lithuania as possible. I stayed at the Blankenfelde manor (Blankenfeldes muiža), which is around 10–20 minutes away from Lithuania. I then rode to the Hill of Crosses that was on the way to Vilnius where I met a friend of mine to give a gift for his upcoming wedding.
I finally arrived in Poland and stayed at the Dolina Sarenek in Sejny, Poland. I escaped the bad weather in Lithuania and got really lucky with the weather in Poland (not for long, though).
That was the beginning.
