Typically, a tiny ding like this can be removed externally with the glue pull method.

This particular panel had been repainted, though so using our hot glue method was too risky. Pulling on the aftermarket paint on a rigid aluminum panel could result in removing the paint!

So I opted instead to push the dent out from behind.

Access was tough, since there was a reinforcement brace directly behind that portion of the door. I was able to safely access the DENT through the door’s “wire loom”.

When accessing through the wire loom opening, it is imperative to be mindful of the wiring and internal door mechanisms, so that we are not prying against and damaging anything.

In the end, the tiny ding was left as though it never even happened, and my client was absolutely thrilled.
