We leave behind the enigmatic Lost City of the Kalahari and set our course for Twee Rivieren,

Twee Rivieren is the gateway to the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. Here, we check in, get our passports stamped, and prepare to cross into Botswana.
With all the formalities behind us , we embark on our first game drive, ready to explore the wild beauty of the Kgalgadi Transfrontier park.".

Our first game drive delivered many usual suspects but it was great to see the end of the green Kalahari season. We even got a glimpse of lion.
Animals seem a little carefree with all the abundance of food.
It was a great start and a promise of whats to come.
As the sun starts dipping towards the horizon we make our way back to the Twee Rivieren Camp for a night.

Today we head into the heart of the Kgalagadi to the remote Bitterpan wilderness camp.

As dawn breaks We pack up and set off to our next destination the Bitterpan Wilderness Camp.

We got lucky to get our reservation at such short notice. The drive through the dunes scape on a twee spoor is as wild as it gets. This was the real Kalahari Safari we came for.
