The first prize of the A Sea of Words" literary contest 2016 has been awarded to "Reasons and names" by Syrian writer Nour Hariri (Aleppo, 1989).
The ninth edition of this literary contest sought to to propose ways of opposing all forms of violence against women.
Organized yearly since 2008 by the IEMed and the Anna Lindh Foundation, the iniatitive publishes an anthology of the stories of the awarded young writers and invites them to Barcelona for the awards ceremony and various cultural activities.
