Learning Lab: Connecting with Latino Communities on Diabetes Care

Описание: In this session, we heard from Dr. Leo Morales, MD, PhD, MPH, the founding co-director of the Latino Center for Health at the University of Washington, on how, in his practice, he has supported the partnership of communities and healthcare systems to promote wellness of all Latinos in Washington state. Dr. Morales will highlight the work Adios Covid is leading to provide blood sugar screenings for Latino communities and the impact access to culturally sensitive care at the University of Washington's LatinX Diabetes Clinic can make.

After Dr. Morales's presentation, there was time for question and answer, followed by dedicated time to connect and discuss with peers.

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the Washington State Medical Association (WSMA) and the Foundation for Healthcare Quality.
