What do the Bible and economics have in common? What can we learn about money, profit and economics from scripture that points to how we should view economic life today?
Discussion Questions:
1. Dr. Rae stated that economics is fundamentally a moral issue as is politics. What do you think about that? After listening to Dr. Rae, how might you be thinking differently about economics?
2. Understanding that in the ancient world, economics was a zero sum game, but not so necessarily today, where is there opportunity to lead and act with Christian values?
3. If it is true that, as Dr. Rae suggested, an honest profit is an indicator of how well an organization is fulfilling the creation mandate, do you believe profit is so regarded generally, or if not, what is the problem and why is profit perceived differently?
