Описание: Global energy security is once again at the heart of geopolitical competition. Russia’s targeting of Ukrainian energy infrastructure and instability across the Middle East, including shipping disruptions in the Red Sea, are driving volatility in oil and gas markets and exposing the fragility of global energy flows. In North America, efforts to strengthen energy resilience are complicated by political fragmentation, regulatory uncertainty, and growing concerns over Chinese economic influence in supply chains and infrastructure. At the same time, China’s dominance in critical mineral processing and clean energy manufacturing, as well as growing demand for electricity and consequential expansion of grid interconnections, has introduced new a paradigm shift regarding how policymakers should consider strategic dependence, diversification, and system reliability as they aim to secure energy resilience and economic prosperity. How should governments and industries recalibrate their energy security strategies in this new global context? What tools can help protect energy flows in an era of persistent geopolitical friction?
