Inside Bateria Furiosa: Setor 11 (360° POV)

Описание: I spent the evening at the Sambódromo in Rio de Janeiro capturing the Acadêmicos do Salgueiro Setor 11 rehearsal.

The Technical Setup: This is a 360° field recording. I visited different parts of the bateria in this video but ended up of course, in my favorite spot, right next to the repique de bossa players. At Salgueiro they use repique and repique mor for their repique de bossas.

What to look for:

At 01:20: The Mestre signals the first 'bossada'.

The Mix: Notice the balance between the high-end repiques and the low surdo frequencies in this space.
