In today's video were are taking a look at the 2024 Mattel Creations Red Line Club exclusive "Lincoln Continental for Nineteen Sixty-One." This highly detailed recreation of the '61 Lincoln is Spectraflame True Black with a pearl white interior. What makes this particular casting special is the full re-creation of the four "suicide" doors found on the actual car.
This version of the Continental is also the same car used by President John F. Kennedy from 61-63, up until his assassination in Dallas Texas. Originally meant to be the 1961 Thunderbird, The head of Ford redirected the design team to make it a Lincoln instead. However, put the actual final version of both cars side by side and they look like twins.
This casting was an extremely low run and to this point, is the only version of this casting.
