Описание: Millimeter-wave (mmWave) 5G New Radio (NR) communication systems, with their large antenna arrays and bandwidth, provide a transformative platform for both high-throughput data transmission and fine-grained environmental sensing. This lecture presents recent advances in the algorithm design and experimental demonstration of radio simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) based on 5G NR. We begin by introducing the hardware components of a mmWave 5G NR OFDM–based ISAC prototyping platform designed for end-to-network collaboration, and address core challenges such as multi-node clock alignment and multimodal data synchronization. Then, we review the 5G NR frame structure and present design examples for supporting functionalities such as monostatic sensing, bistatic sensing, and end-to-network collaborative sensing. Next, we present the algorithm design for monostatic-sensing-based SLAM, bistatic-sensing based SLAM, multi-modal sensing fusion SLAM, and end-to-network collaborative sensing-based SLAM, analyze the advantages and disadvantages of different sensing modes and modalities, and evaluate the performance through field tests. Finally, we discuss the evaluation of field tests for radio SLAM-assisted beam tracking and conclude by highlighting several open challenges and future research directions.
