One way to remove the stock placard/ butt pad on the SIG 🇨🇭 SG55x rifles. Showed to me by a Swiss Army Armorer.
Things to keep in mind:
1. You can do this with the whole lower receiver intact, no need to take off the stock, mine was already removed.
2. Be careful to place the vice at the right place, just barely on the actual stock and not just the rubber.
3. Make sure the vice is decently tight.
4. A vice with teeth may leave marks on your stock, when I did this, after rubbing off the residue, I did not see any noticeable marks on mine, but it could on yours, so if you are very sensitive to this small scratch marks put some protection or use another method.
5. SIG Sauer AG 🇨🇭 recommends you send it to them and they change it for you.
