Perfect for cruise fans, train enthusiasts and anyone who want to explore New Zealand.
In 2020 I was sailing around New Zealand aboard the Princess Cruises cruise ship Sea Princess.
We made our first landfall in New Zealand in Port Chalmers, close to Dunedin and the start point for the Taieri Gorge Railway.
I booked the excursion and the train collected us on the quayside, outside the ship, so this is not a niche tour. In fact its been enjoyed by Royalty as you'll hear if you keep your ears open during the video.
The Taieri Gorge Railway is considered to be one of the World's Great Railway journeys and is certainly a great way to see some beautiful scenery in New Zealand's South Island.
So with a mixture of photos and video taken onboard the train (the backs of the carriages are open and the weather was perfect to stand outside and watch) why not come along and share my adventure.
