"A Concert of Angels" is a beloved instrumental album completed in a whirlwind of creative energy over three days, with my wife to be, in 1993. We recorded the improvised piano in the living room of dear friend and talented artist and producer Anthony Phillips (ex-Genesis), and the orchestration in Phil Thornton's studio. Phil is immensely talented and has made lots of great music, also on New World music. The whole thing, amazingly, cost just £150 to make, and yet has become my best-selling and most loved album of all (over 100,000 sales). Originally released by New World Music, it is now re-released on my own label, Singing Stone Music. The music describes the wonderful romantic pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostella in Spain, a journey through France and Spain whilst falling in love, the sad death of my Godfather, and a fantasia on the line 'sailing on the silk blue sea' in Isabel Allende's magical realism novel "The house of the Spirits". Its a work I am very proud of, thankyou all for enjoying it! Greatest of thanks to both dear Anthony and Phil for their skills, talent, humour, and support.
