68 First Floor Lights Are FINALLY On – One Woman DIY Renovation - Zen Build – No talking

Описание: Week 68 was a very productive one. With the holiday week giving me a little extra focus, I made a point to do something every single day — and it really added up.
I worked drywall mud throughout the house, with most of my energy going into the back stairwell, essentially rebuilding the old plaster using joint compound and paper tape. It’s slow, messy work, but it’s finally starting to feel solid again.
I also painted the foyer light to tone down the gold, hauled out the first big wave of demo trash from the downstairs bathroom, and kept pushing forward on demo in there. After a lot of problem-solving, I finally figured out the dining room light wiring, which meant the first-floor fixtures could actually go up.
I set up a new project management bullet journal spread with a master to-do list to keep everything moving, and the electrician came by to connect the first-floor lighting to the panel. After many trips down to the basement breaker box (and discovering the porch light wasn’t grounded properly), I finally flipped the switch…
And for the first time in months, I have light on the first floor again.
Slow, steady progress — but this week felt like a real turning point.
