Our next release on Black Seven Music comes in the form of an impressive compilation as Peruvian talent Nic Zega presents his ‘& friends’ VA.

On the first of ten tracks, Nic Zega is joined by Madrid based producer Santiago Bejarano on ‘Captains’. Featuring tough drums and rolling grooves, the track has a pleasantly soulful and melodic presence from end to end.

‘Sweat’nSoua’ sees Israeli artist Brown Vox deliver a stripped-back and shuffled heater with sizzling hats, rhythmic sub-bass, hard synths and a catchy vocal hook.

Label bosses BRODYR are joined by Chris Brooks for ‘Watchin'’, bringing an exotic-laced night time feel with tribal influence, acid hints and swinging momentum. Calypso-tinged terrace vibes FTW!

MrT & SimoV and Tomas Bisquierra are next up with ‘Loddy’, hitting you from the off with thumping drums and rippling percs as its rising vocal line brews. Endless moving and grooving that will keep you entertained throughout!

Marlon C’s ‘Funk Around’ hits the ground running with a driving bed of drums and blistering rhythmic factors. Its sultry vocal topline and bright synth melodies add a subtle level of flavour to round off its hard-edged feel. A definite peak-time summer selection.

Franco BA and Juan (AR) are next with ‘Proud’. Its swinging drums and piercing hats are elevated further rising transitions with funky vocals and slick melodic components, building up to several pleasantly climactic drops!

‘Better’ sees Nacho Scoppa turn out a vigorously upbeat and striking dancefloor cut. Pounding drums and electrifying percussion slice in and out of roaring sub-bass and scattered vox shots to create a fist-pump-inspiring jam.

MartinoResi & GvTec’s ‘Pleassure Day’ is a deep and driving groover from the outset. Its long and sweeping bassline slides under a punchy beat and dreamily soulful vocal, turning out plenty of hands-up moments along the way.

Next up, Alessandro Diruggiero and Gustaff’s ‘bombombom’ delivers a pulsating array of heavyset kicks, snares, clap rolls, offbeat flair and everything in between. Its cadent sub-bass will have you swaying along deep into its breakdowns and beyond.

Closing the release is 2KNWN and ‘High Standards’. Ending on a bang, its riveting upbeatness is unavoidably captivating - and that’s before the gritty synths and huge bassline kick in! A standout finale to another bumper VA on Black Seven Music.
