Wonderful interview by Jon Burlingame with one of the 20th century's giants of film music. Maurice Jarre reflects on his early life and reveals why he was cut off financially by his family because he wanted to study music. However as he explains, with the support and love of his grandmother he was able to persue his passion. He reveals what it was like to work with various directors including Alfred Hitchcock and how lucky he was to work with such fine musicians.
