I am in my sewing room today, drafting a 1940s summer linen grey vintage suit and doing it in real time to allow everyone to see that sewing is not always at the sewing machine and that drafting takes time.
I am a vintage seamstress with great love of the 1920s through the early 1960s.
I want a vintage wardrobe that FITS ME.
I want this because I am utterly uninspired by today’s fashion. I am completely “meh” about it. I want to look in a mirror and say “yassssss”.
Since nothing bad has happened at all since I starting wearing what I actually like, I figured why stop? Maybe I really can simply dress for me and that I can absolutely - on a daily basis - wear what I sew compete with wet set pin curls, aprons, lipstick, and sometimes a corset – For No Other Reason than I want to.
