The plaintiff alleged that the defendant knowingly and intentionally interfered in her marriage, leading to an extramarital affair and the eventual breakdown of the marital relationship. The defense argued that under Section 7 of the Family Courts Act, the civil court had no jurisdiction. However, the Delhi High Court ruled that a third-party tort claiming compensation for a civil wrong does not fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Family Court.
