This Swordtail (Xiphophorus helleri), a livebearer, did suffer from skin flukes and bacterial infection! The first action to take: treat the skin flukes. Pet Shops have good medications. The second action: anti-bacterial treatment: ask your fish doctor for a good antibiotic or other anti-bacterial medication (or see my books!).
