Photoperiod
The length of the day or period of time the plant is exposed to light
Technically plants are only able to tell the length of night, but this is typically just assumed to be the opposite of the day length.
Understanding the Photoperiod is critical to Cannabis production
Long Days = Signals Vegetative Growth (leaves)
Short Days = Signals Flowering (bud production)
Autoflowering Cannabis- These Cannabis cultivars flower regardless of the photoperiod.
