We took a day trip to Nikko from Tokyo!⛩️
This is more like a trip guide through the eyes of a Japanese local, with must-see spots and local flavors.
The highlight was definitely the UNESCO World Heritage site, Nikko Toshogu Shrine. Surrounded by forest, the historic buildings were truly majestic and breathtaking!
It’s just one direct train from Asakusa, about two hours, which makes it super easy to access.
We also enjoyed some local food like a yuba lunch and a cozy Japanese-style café.
