For someone who never had very much chart success, ol' Boxcar was able to carve an amazingly successful career out of country music.
Boxcar Willie became a well known country music star through a combination of TV-advertised LPs, and his theatre in Branson, MO.
I remember seeing him in a story on the Australian "60 Minutes" programme...he couldn't contain his mirth when he was talking about how much money he was making from his Branson theatre.
Willie left us much too soon in 1999 at the age of only 67.
This upload is frtom a CD called "Just Train Songs", realeased in 1994.
