John Conibear, MBBCh, BSc, MSc, MRCP, FRCR, Nottingham City Hospital, Nottingham, UK, discusses first-line treatment of patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). In patients with advanced metastatic EGFR mutations, targeted therapies such as osimertinib, and osimertinib-chemotherapy combination therapies, assessed in the FLAURA (NCT02296125) and FLAURA2 (NCT04035486) trials, have altered the standard of care in the first-line. Investigation into patient suitability, and the use of radiosurgery for intercranial disease progression during therapy, is ongoing. This interview took place at the BTOG 2025 congress in Belfast, UK.
