পাহাড়পুর বৌদ্ধ বিহার নওগাঁ | Paharpur Buddhist Bihar

Описание: নওগাঁ জেলার বদলগাছী উপজেলার পাহাড়পুর গ্রামে পাহাড়পুর বৌদ্ধ বিহার অবস্থিত। প্রকৃতপক্ষে পাহাড়পুর নামটি আসলেই আধুনিক এর প্রাচীন নাম ছিল সোমপুর। বাংলাদেশে সপ্তম শতাব্দিতে বৌদ্ধ ধর্মীয় পাল রাজ বংশের প্রতিষ্ঠা হয়। খ্রীষ্টিয় অষ্টম ও নবম শতাব্দিতে বৌদ্ধ ধর্মের চরম উৎকর্ষতার যুগে বাংলাদেশে এই পাহাড়পুর বিহার ও মন্দির গড়ে ওঠে।
ইতিহাস বলছে, পাহাড়পুর বিহারে বৌদ্ধ ভিক্ষুদের জন্য ১৭৭ টি কক্ষ ছিল। মোট ৭০.৩১ একর জমির উপর এই বিহার অবস্থিত। এখানে ১৯৩৪ খ্রিষ্টব্দ পর্যন্ত খননের ফলে প্রতœতত্ত্ব বিভাগ এই বিহারের পূর্ব দিকে সত্যপিরের ভিটা ও মন্দিরের চর্তুদিক বেষ্টীত কক্ষ আবিস্কার করেন। এর মধ্যভাগে প্রধান বিহার এবং তাকে ঘিরে ১৯৮টি বাসযোগ্য কক্ষ, বিস্তৃত প্রবেশ পথ, অসংখ্য বিনোদনস্তুপ, ছোট ছোট মন্দির ও পুষ্করিণী অবস্থিত। মন্দিরটি উত্তর-দক্ষিণে দৈঘ্য ৩৫৭ ফুট। আর প্রস্থে পূর্ব-পশ্চিমে ৩১৪ ফুট। মূল বিহারটি এর মাঝখানে অবস্থিত। বিহারের প্রস্তর গাত্রে ৬৩টি মুর্তি ও মন্দির গ্রাত্রেও বহু জীব-জন্তুর মুর্তি আছে। সমতল ভূমি থেকে বিহারটির উচু প্রায় ৭২ ফুট। কয়েক বছর আগে বিহারটিকে ইউনেস্কো কর্তৃক বিশ্ব ঐতিহ্যের তালিকায় অন্তভুক্ত করা হয়েছে। বাংলাদেশ প্রতœতত্ব বিভাগ এখানে একটি যাদুঘর, একটি রেষ্ট হাউজ ও কয়েকটি প্রশাসনিক ভবন নির্মাণ করেছে। পাশাপাশি বিহারের চারিদিকে বিচরন করবার জন্য সুদর্শন রাস্তা নির্মান করা হয়েছে। নওগাঁ শহরের বালুডাংগা বাস টার্মিনাল থেকে সরাসরি বাসযোগে ঐতিহাসিক পাহাড়পুরে যাওয়া যায়। যার আনুমানিক দূরত্ব প্রায় ৩২ কিলোমিটার।

Somapura Mahavihara monastery located in Paharpur village of Badolgachhi upazila of Naogaon district. In fact, the name Paharpur was originally the modern name of the modern Sompur. Buddhist religious royal dynasty was founded in Bangladesh in the 7th century. In the eighth and ninth century AD, this Paharpur Bihara and temples were developed in Bangladesh during the great excellence of Buddhism.
History says, there were 177 rooms for Buddhist monks in Paharpur Bihar. This monastery is located on a total of 70.31 acres of land. Here, by the excavation of 1934 AD, the therapeutics department invented the quadruple chamber of Satyapir and the inner chamber of the temple on the east side of this monastery. In the middle of it is the main monastery and its surroundings comprise 198 habitat rooms, broad entrances, numerous entertainment rooms, small temples and ponds. The temple is 357 feet long north-south. The width is 314 feet in the east-west. The main building is located in the middle of it. There are many statues of animals in the 63 stones and temple grahas in Bihar stone. The height of the plateau is about 72 feet high. A few years ago, Bihar was included in UNESCO World Heritage List. The Bangladesh Technical Department here has built a museum, a clean house and a few administrative buildings. Alongside, a beautiful road has been constructed around Bihar. Historically, Paharpur is located directly from the Baludanga Bus Terminal at Naogaon City. The approximate distance is about 32 kilometers.
