Sancta Maria College Big Band - KBB 2020 Band & Orchestra Showcase

Описание: This video was created for participation in the KBB 2020 Band & Orchestra Showcase, an online event which has taken the place of Auckland's annual KBB Music Festival. As a result of the disruption caused by the peaks of COVID-19 during 2020 the festival, usually held in Auckland's beautiful Holy Trinity Cathedral during August, needed to be cancelled.

However, school bands and orchestras around the Auckland region and beyond embarked on this large scale collaborative project to create and archive the fruits of their musical labours throughout the year. By bringing together these items from various schools it is hoped that the efforts of so many young New Zealand musicians will be shared and enjoyed by the widest possible audience.

Many of the groups participating in this online event have also opted to create a "Behind-the-scenes" chapter to their videos. There were no hard and fast guidelines given to participants about what these should look like, so they've come in many, varied forms.

The Auckland Secondary Schools Music Festival Trust would like to invite you to view this, and the many other videos submitted by contributing schools. Please support, like and share these videos, to let these musicians know that their musicianship, hard work and commitment are valued.
