Nanoscience is the investigation of designs and materials on a super limited scale, and the exceptional and intriguing properties these materials illustrate. Nanoscience is cross-disciplinary, which means researchers from a scope of fields including science, physical science, science, medication, registering, materials science and designing are considering it and utilizing it to all the more likely comprehend our reality. Nanotechnology, then again, is the plan, creation and utilization of designs, gadgets and frameworks at the nanoscale. So basically, one is examining nanomaterials and their properties and the other is utilizing those materials and properties to make something new or unique. The nanoscale is the dimensional scope of roughly 1 to 100 nanometres. However, what does this truly mean? It is small to the point that it may pause for a minute to get your head around—we should go gradually. To start, investigate the rear of your hand. Utilizing only your eyes you can center down to a size of 1 centimeter to 1 millimeter. At this scale the skin looks level. Notwithstanding, get out an amplifying glass and you can see it's in reality wrinkly with breaks and overlap. The amplifying glass permits you to contemplate the fine construction of the skin at not exactly a millimeter (or one-thousandth of a meter).
If you somehow happened to look all the more carefully with a magnifying instrument you could inspect the cells that make up your skin. Presently you're working at the size of micrometers (one-thousandth of a millimeter), in some cases alluded to as the microworld. Cells and microscopic organisms are estimated in micrometers, and electronic segments on a silicon chip are typically around 1 micrometer in size.
To come to the nanoworld you need to go more modest once more. A nanometre (nm) is 10-9, which is one-thousandth of a micrometer, or one-billionth of a meter. This is the scale at which we measure particles and the atoms they make. With a need for leaguing together with globalization and to focus on the future needs of the society, the Centre for Nanoscience and Genomics has been established promptly by Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences. It has been commenced with the support of the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India under the Nanomission scheme. Nanotechnology education enables securing jobs as biomedical engineers, materials scientists, chemists and pharmacists, project managers in allied industries, patent agents, clinical research fellows, and researchers in related areas of science. In addition, Nanoscience graduates pursue higher studies at world-class universities and top-rated laboratories. The Centre for Nanoscience and Genomics houses advanced equipment like Scanning Electron Microscopy, Energy-Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy, Powder X-Ray Diffraction, Atomic Force Microscopy, Pulsed Laser Deposition Unit, Photoluminescence spectrometer, Nano-microparticle size analyzer, UV-Visible Spectroscopy, Spin coating, Elemental Analyzer, Electro spinning, Atomic Force Microscope, Integrated Analyzer, Elemental Analyzer, Impedance analyzer, and Pulse Laser Deposition unit. The Nanotechnology researchers of KITS work on nanomaterials for cancer diagnosis and therapy, thin films and solar cells, nanomaterial-based fuel cells, nanomaterials for agriculture, and nanoelectronics. The department focuses on innovative teaching and research in emerging fields of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology. The Centre for Nanoscience and Genomics offers a modern study program M.Sc. Nanoscience and Technology, and Ph.D. programs in Nanoscience & Technology. The degree programs meet the needs of the aspiring young innovators to excel in the the futuristic technology.
