The expectation that Raila Odinga will contest the presidency inched closer to reality after the Orange Democratic Movement endorsed him as its flag bearer. At a colourful event to mark the party’s 10th anniversary in Mombasa today, ODM mandated Odinga to seek the blessing of his CORD co-principals for the coalition’s ticket. Odinga used the rally to shred the Jubilee administration development record and to play down defections that have rocked CORD. Sam Gituku is in Mombasa and now reports.
