Описание: In a March 2, 2025 appearance on Rotana Khalijiyya TV (Saudi Arabia), Saudi Cabinet member and former Minister of Islamic Affairs Saleh bin Abdul-Aziz Aal Al-Sheikh discussed the meaning of the renewed Islamic discourse in Saudi Arabia. He stated that terrorist groups were not created by Saudi Arabia, but by "countries in the region and elsewhere," and that instructions to carry out bombings did not originate from Saudi Arabia. Al-Sheikh recalled a visit from a foreign delegation after the September 11 attacks, during which a member of the delegation told him that, as Minister of Islamic Affairs, he must put an end to preachers in mosques cursing a "certain country." However, Al-Sheikh explained that this occurred during the American invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan, which involved indiscriminate attacks, killing children, and destroying mosques. He clarified that the Saudi government did not instruct preachers to use such rhetoric; instead, it stemmed from their Islamic "zeal." Al-Sheikh concluded that the West should address the "causes," avoid killing Muslims, and stop manipulating their emotions while labeling them as the problem.
