Tunstall Hills Local Nature Reserve

Tunstall Hills Local Nature Reserve has vehicle access from Hill View with limited parking, and further foot access from Hollycarrside, Ryhope Colliery, Silksworth and of course Tunstall.

Admittedly not the best option for those with difficulties walking, as there are very few footpaths.
However, for someone who doesn't mind the dirt trail, I think you'd be spoilt for choice.
For the most part it is obviously quite hilly, but there are variable trails to take depending on your fitness.
I advise planning a visit no less than 2-3 days after rain, as the trails can get very muddy and loose, and the trails hidden by the tree's canopies can take a few days to dry out.
A bounty of flora and fauna is just waiting to be discovered!
