AASU continuing its tirade against the contentious #CitizenshipAmendmentAct held a protest rally today at Guwahati's Latasil playground where members of several women groups and organisations staged massive protests.
Apart from Guwahati, women organisations also organised protests in different parts of the state.
Women in large numbers assembled in front of the Jorhat Deputy Commissioner's Office opposing the CAA. Besides, women activists of 30 other tribal tribal organisations are also taking part in the sit in demonstration.
Meanwhile, artists joined the women protests at the Boarding Playground in Sivasagar.
Women groups are also staged vehement protests at Demow. Meanwhile, women in large numbers also hit the streets in Bokakhat.
