If you're looking for your next gaming PC that's compact, looks good and capable of playing your favourite games, then this, the Acer Predator Orion 3000 could be the one for you.

In the box, it comes with a power cable, warranty information and of course the Predator Orion 3000 itself. Taking a closer look at the unit, you have a USB Type C and a USB 3 port, headphone port and mic too, that way you can easily plug in any peripherals without having to reach to the back each time. The front design carries the Acer Predator design DNA with the angular, sharp look. You get a headphone tray or holder or cradle that pops out on the sides and an optical disk drive too for installing games if you don't use Steam for example. The front is also illuminated and I love that the fan below can be seen spinning and is also illuminated. Along the side and in general

around the back of the unit, you have ample USB ports for all your devices, HDMI and DVI for visual with 4K support thanks to NVIDIA GTX10 series and audio ports as well. You also get a couple of expansion slots to boost your gaming device.

For specs, this is packing an 8GB DDR4 Memory which can be upgraded up to 64GB with 16GB Intel Optane Memory for keeping your gaming smooth with no hiccups, 8th Gen Intel Core i5 processor in there which you can also upgrade to i7 if you like. For graphics, there's a GTX 1050 Ti GPU in there but you can also opt for a 1080 if you require more. For storage, there's a 1TB HDD in there with 256 SSD also.

With the Predator Orion 3000, it's not all about the hardware tho, there are some software or applications available also to ensure a smooth and immersive experience when gaming. There's Predator Sense which allows you to monitor your CPU and GPU performance as well as tweaking your fan speed to keep your gaming PC cool during those intense gaming sessions. Next you have Creative Sound BlasterX 720 degrees which will allow you to tweak your sound to ensure the best sound experience, for example, it can help with making sure you can hear footsteps when playing call of duty and for your safety online, you can even morph your voice to hide your identity. Finally, Nvidia GeForce experience which lets you dive into your graphics card settings, update drivers and even use Nvidia's gaming overlay for capturing your gaming session.

Overall gaming experience has been fantastic. I've loaded up the Orion 3000 with the latest Forza Horizon 4 and it handles it like a champ even at the maximum graphics settings. Rendering the cars is easy, driving around the map is immersive with no hiccups, glitches or anything. Combining the Orion 3000 with Acer's gaming monitor with Nvidia G-sync made perfect sense as it worked harmoniously to create the best gaming experience at this price point.
