LUCAS ist dieses Jahr im Feiermodus: Zum 40. Mal bringt Deutschlands ältestes Festival für junge Filmfans die ganze Vielfalt internationaler Spiel-, Dokumentar-, Animations- und Experimentalfilme nach Frankfurt. Das verheißt spannende Wettbewerbe und ein rundes Jubiläumsprogramm.

Mehr als 70 Produktionen aus 35 Ländern bringt LUCAS während der Festivalwoche von Sonntag, 1., bis Samstag, 7. Oktober, an fünf Spielorten in Frankfurt, Offenbach und Wiesbaden auf die Leinwand. Das Tolle: Viele Filmschaffende werden zu Gast sein und jungen Filmfans Rede und Antwort stehen.

Welcome to LUCAS #40!

LUCAS has reason to celebrate: For the 40th time Germany’s oldest festival for young film lovers is offering a wide spectrum of international fiction, documentary, animation and experimental films in the heart of Frankfurt. We have put together a special anniversary programme that promises thrilling competitions.

During the LUCAS festival week from Sunday, October 1 to Saturday, October 7, more than 70 films from around 35 countries will be screened at five different venues in Frankfurt, Offenbach and Wiesbaden. Excitingly, many of the filmmakers will be present as well, so young film enthusiasts will have the opportunity to ask any questions they might have.
