Sailor Zombie: AKB48 Arcade Edition

Описание: Six out of seven members of the Japanese Pop band AKB48 seem to have come down with a zombie virus which, true to fashion, sends them on a feeding frenzy where what they bite and eat every human flesh, transforming people in zombies, and of course Tokyo become full of zombies.

Luckily, the one member of the group has the antidote with her, it's a vaccine pistol capable of restoring zombified fans and idols to humanity.
She happens to find some lucky rando fan on the street,that missed the band concert (you the player), he can help her to cure the other zombies (after he cures her). So, the two of you set off to undo this zombie menace.

Players start by choosing one of eight AKB48 idols as their partner between Ryoka Oshima, Mayu Watanabe, Yuki Kashiwagi, Rina Kawaei, Anna Iriyama, Haruna Kojima, or Miki Noshino; the remaining idols become the zombies that the player shoots during the game.

Zombies take several vaccine shots before they collapse, and are worth points based on a shot combo counter.
Each shooting stage has idols hidden in the background who will reward merchandise bonuses if shot.
In addition to zombie stages there are also two boss stages against werewolves, who are defeated by shooting glowing weak points before they are able to attack.

Music soothes the savage soul, even for the undead. In between shooting stages the chosen partner idol is able to temporarily restore the zombie girls' sanity by queuing up AKB hit songs.
During these necromantic night-shows the player's gun becomes a tambourine, and they must follow the onscreen rhythm prompts to maintain their combo.

As with all AKB48 media the game ties into a popularity contest, with each of the idols rising and falling on a leaderboard based on how often they are chosen and how high of a score is attained while they are a partner.
