Описание: Award Winning Author-Ms. Lavanya Shanbhogue is a feminist research scholar and a former employee of a finance firm.

Lavanya Shanbhogue-Arvind’s debut novel is ‘The Heavens We Chase’. She has spent over 7 years in financial services, got disillusioned with it and decided to give it all up. She even possesses a Masters in Creative Writing (from the City University of Hong Kong). Her short story, “The Crystal Snuff Box and the Pappadum,” won the Commonwealth Short Story Special Prize (2011) for the theme, “Women as Agents of Change.” It was adapted for radio by the Commonwealth Broadcasting Association and was aired in all the Commonwealth countries. She is currently working on her second novel, an inter-generational story about three women (a grandmother, mother and daughter) who’re affected by religious fundamentalism. She is a feminist pursuing a Masters in Women’s Studies from the Tata Institute of Social Science.
